Colour Correction for PlayStation Model

PURPOSE OF THE COLOUR CORRECTION
Carrying out this modification will allow your TV to display games that originate from USA (SCEA)and Japan (SCEI) regions which use the NTSC video format. If you do not carry out this modification and play games from these regions they will be displayed in 'Black and White', unless you have a multi-system TV which will automatically adjust for the NTSC signal.
GETTING STARTED
This document assumes you know how to dissemble your PlayStation and remove the PCB. If so go ahead and remove it otherwise read this first Installing a ModChip or Installing a Stealth Chip upto "REMOVING THE RF SHIELD".
CARRYING OUT THE COLOUR CORRECTION FIX.
Looking at the diagram, locate the area of the PCB (on the top side, top left corner) where the modification is to be carried out.
DOUBLE CHECK that you have soldered the wires to correct positions on the main board and that you have lifted the correct pin or cut the correct track on the PCB.
Once you have re-assembled your Playstation, plug in all your leads and turn it on and check that it will play you NTSC game in colour.
PROBLEMS
Some older TV's may have a problem with the picture rolling. Your PlayStation is not at fault, it is your TV. If you have a "Vertical Hold" adjustment on your TV tweak this a little and the picture will stabilize. If you don't you can take your TV and PlayStation etc to your local TV service people and get them to make the adjustments inside your TV, or use a different TV or Video.
