Using the Game Enhancer to play Import and Backup games.

Please note that the Game Enhancer will not display NTSC games in Colour unless your TV is able to support NTSC, you use a NTSC to PAL adaptor or your PlayStation has been modified for NTSC video.

Turn your PlayStation off.
Ensure the switch on the Game Enhancer is in the UP position to turn it ON.

Open lid, and look inside towards the rear on the right hand side on the base of the PlayStation. You will find a switch, this is used to let the PlayStation know that the lid is closed and to check for a CD. You have to keep this switch closed by using the supplied spring. The pin end of the spring fits into the hole in the switch button and the spring is inserting over the lug (on underside of the lid). This will now allow you to open and close the lid while keeping the button depressed.

Insert any Original game CD, demo CD that came with your PlayStation or a demo CD from a magazine and leave the lid open.

Now turn your PlayStation on, the Game Enhancer menu will be displayed and the CD will spin for a few seconds and stop.

Remove the Original geme/demo CD and insert the Import or Backup CD you wish to play. Select "Start game", or if you wish to load a cheat, select the correct cheat then select "Start game with cheat" and press the "O" button. The game will start like normal.

Playing Multi-Disk Import and Backup games:

There are 2 ways to boot up the second disk.

If You Have a Memory Card:
Save the information from the end of disk one onto your memory card and boot up disk two from the memory card (recommended way).

If You Don't Have a Memory Card:
Remove the Import or Backup disk 1 and insert the original or demo disk. Press the start button and allow the disk to spin for about 2 seconds. Remove the spinning disk and replace it with the import or CD-R Backup. The second disk will boot up perfectly.
